How To Draw Santa: 10 Easy Steps For Kids.

We have an easy tutorial on how to draw Santa! This is a quick ten step drawing and it’s super easy that even kids can draw Santa.

With his fluffy beard, twinkly eyes and mittens thrown up in the air, he’s got a real sense of fun about him, you will love the end drawing!

This is a great little drawing to add on cards or keep the little ones busy doodling in the festive break.

All you need is a pencil or a pen and let’s get started!

Step 1

Start with a simple oval — this little circle becomes the tip of Santa’s nose, so no need to make it perfect!

Step 2

Next, add two swooping curved lines on either side of the nose to form Santa’s bushy moustache.

Step 3

Now draw two long curved lines sweeping up from the moustache to start shaping the outer edges of that famous fluffy beard.

Step 4

Add the curved brim of Santa’s hat above the moustache, and just like that his face is really starting to take shape!

Step 5

Finish off the hat by drawing the peaked top and adding that cheeky little bobble dangling on the end.

Step 6

Bring the whole face together by drawing a big, bumpy cloud shape around the moustache for that wonderfully fluffy full beard.

Step 7

Sketch out the angled shoulders and body underneath, giving Santa a sturdy base to build the rest of him on.

Step 8

Add the belt line, boots and little legs to complete Santa’s outfit, and he’s really starting to stand on his own two feet now.

Step 9

Finally, draw both arms reaching up with cosy mittens on the ends, and Santa’s ready to give everyone a big festive wave!

Step 10

Pop a chunky belt with a square buckle across his middle, and Santa’s outfit is looking wonderfully festive.

Step 11

Last of all, fill in his boots with a bit of shading and add his twinkly eyes and rosy nose for a finishing touch — and there he is, ready to spread some Christmas cheer!

And there we have Santa! Add some color to your final drawing to really give him some personality.
