Zentangle patterns are great for relaxing hobby, to keep yourself present and in the moment. They are also great for doodling in your journal or sketchbook, adding as decoration to any craft pieces.

Zentangles are known for their intricate patterns and go with the flow lines. There are lots of little doodles you can add within each zentangle pattern to make it unique. Once you get the flow of zentangles, there is not one pattern or design that can be the same.
Zentangle Flower: One
Starting off with this simple but intricate pattern, with just a few steps,

Step 1
Start off with the base petals, and four petals on each corner.

Step 2
Draw in some more petals with in the outer petals and add small dots for details.

Step 3
Add some petal like shapes on the centre petals.

Step 4
Finish up by drawing some lines in between the petals to give it some more details. And also add a little petal in the corer petals with small dots in them and you are done!

Zentangle Flower: Two
Next up is this small but busy looking zentangle flower.

Step 1
Start off with your base petals, three on each side and six altogether. Make sure they intertwine a little.

Step 2
Add in more petals at the top and botton, and color in the two smaller petals within.

Step 3
Draw criss cross lines to start giving it some details. Add smaller petals within the outer petals.

Step 4
Add in small dots on the outer petals and more criss cross lines on the side petals.

Step 5
Finish up by drawing little petals all around.

Zentangle Flower: Three
Here we have a ‘boho’ style zentangle pattern which is pretty easy to do, it’s all in the details.

Step 1
Begin with six petals which are quite far apart from each other but still form a ‘flower’ shape.

Step 2
Draw more petals on the sides and a small circle in the centre.

Step 3
Start adding in the doodles within the petals.

Step 4
Fill in the rest of the little doodles shown below and add in the small leaf shapes between the petals to finish off.

Zentangle Flower: 4
This zentangle pattern might look complex, but it really is’t! Just follow the steps.

Step 1
As always, start with your base petals.

Step 2
Create more petals on the outer layers to ‘expand’ the flower and make it bigger.

Step 3
Start adding in the details on the petals.

Step 4
Carry on with the details on each of the petals.

Step 5
Finish up by adding the outer details and there you have your complex zentangle pattern finished.

Zentangle Flower: 5
Next up is this very loose interpretation of a zentangle flower.

Step 1
Start off with your six oval shaped petals.

Step 2
Draw longer shaped petals on either side.

Step 3
Draw in some leaf shapes on the outer petals and fill in the details.

Step 4
Continue adding the details.

Step 5
Add in all the final doodles and you are done!

Zentangle Flower: 6
Here is a zentangle pattern with lots of little dots and details.

Step 1
Start off with four equal sized petals.

Step 2
Next add more petals on the corner edges and start filling in the details.

Step 3
Fill in the petals with the different doodles. This zentangle has different doodles in the petals, or you could do the same. it’s really upto you.

Step 4
Draw more petals on the outer layer.

Step 5
Continue to fill in all the details in the petals.

Step 6
Fill in the rest of the details in the petals and add little dots outside of the petals to finish it off.


Zentangle Flower: 7
Next up is this pretty little zentangle flower.

Step 1
Draw six petals to start off with.

Step 2
Add more extending petals on the outer corners and add the dots outside and inside those petals.

Step 3
Draw in little dashes on the centre petals.

Step 4
Finish off with small leaf shapes on the outside and add the details.

Zentangle Flower: 8
Next up is this pretty little zentangle flower in just a few steps.

Step 1
Start off with four long’ish petals.

Step 2
Draw in four more petals on the opposite sides, to make it eight petals altogether.

Step 3
Start filling in the petals with lines and dots.

Step 4
Finish the details in the petals and draw in small leafs outside of the pattern.

Zentangle Flower: 9
Time for this zentangle flower with lots of leaves!

Step 1
Start off with your eight petals.

Step 2
Add in the little dots and longer filled in petal shapes to start getting in the details.

Step 3
Next doodle in the small flowers inside the petals.

Step 4
Finish off by drawing in more extended leaf shapes between the petals and another big leaf shape in between those. Doodle in the details and there you have it.

Zentangle Flower: Ten
Last up is this symmetric field of flowers and leaves.

Step 1
Start off with your leaf shapes and add in a bit of details.

Step 2
Draw in two flowers on opposite sides.

Step 3
Continue by adding more larger flowers on the corners.

Step 4
Draw in the leaves that are branching out.

Step 5
Finish off by drawing two larger leaf shapes on opposite sides and add in the final details to finish it all off.
